Duality

The poor complain;

The rich enjoy .

Food, wine, women, fame,

comfort….bed of roses; 

No one had ever had enough; 

No one is truly joyful. 

Everyone is asking for more.

There is more madness 

in the abode of the rich, 

than in poor places of dreams 

where there are more needs than wants. 

The poor has more reasons to live; 

while the rich has an option to die. 

Well-off or destitute,

who knows who they are?

Emptiness is a mental state. 

The mind has no satisfaction.

Poverty is but an excess of desire, 

of needless possession, 

of wanting to have more. 

Rich are the poor who think 

they have more than enough 

that what they have are theirs.

Poorest are the rich 

who only own wealth 

that they can’t take to their graves. 

Stupidity is the name of the game

that everyone is playing. 

No one wins, no one loses 

because no one is quitting 

for “Quitters are losers”. 

Death is but a beginning; 

Life an endless cycle;

“Ignorance is bliss”; 

and Wealth is a possession 

that is measured by 

the sound of laughter.
